Commencement of studies exam

As of 1/9 2016 a commencement of studies exam has been introduced on all Bachelor’s degree programmes at the Faculty of Arts. This exam will be conducted in September during the first semester of the Bachelor’s degree programme.

On the International virksomhedskommunikation i engelsk (IVK) programme the exam is linked with the course called  Introduktion til virksomhedskommunikation og PR. You can use the link to read more about the nature of this exam in the course catalogue.

It is important that you are well informed about the commencement of studies exam. During freshers’ week your student counsellor can tell you more about the commencement of studies exam on your degree programme.

Covid19

Aarhus University complies with all official guidelines relating to the Covid-19 situation. At the moment, we expect that social- and academic events scheduled to take place during the introduction week can be held on campus.

But even though it’s great news that these rules and restrictions are lifted and eased, we must all continue to take precautions to prevent the spread of infection and make our campus safe for everyone. If there are local outbreaks, restrictions may well be reimposed. As a result, the following guidelines apply not only during introduction week, but also for the upcoming autumn semester:

  • Keep your hands clean – use the hand disinfectant available on campus, and wash your hands
  • Remember to open windows to ventilate the rooms you use
  • Stay home if you feel ill

We furthermore recommend that you take a test before entering campus unless you are immune due previously infection with Covid-19 or vaccination.

Please notify the Faculty if you recieve a positive Covid-19-test after being at campus via this form

The Faculty of Arts posts information about the Covid-19 situation on the study portal’s corona information page.

The following restrictions has already been lifted off:

  • The demand to wear a face mask or face shield was lifted as of 14 June
  • The 1-2 metre social distancing recommendation was lifted as of 14 June
  • The need to present documentation of a negative test result or a valid Covid passport was lifted as of 1 August
