In a few years, Aarhus BSS’ activities will be gathered across Nørrebrogade in the new University City and the University Park. The aim of the new Campus 2.0 is to create the best possible physical surroundings for the teaching, research and study environments of the future. For that reason, the school has just initiated a broad consultation process on Campus 2.0, which runs until 23 October. All employees and students are invited to provide input on the wishes and needs that they believe should be considered in the planning of the future physical surroundings.

Dean Thomas Pallesen hopes that many people will take an active part in the consultation process and thus make their mark on the future Campus 2.0.

“I hope that the consultation process will result in even more constructive input for the next stages of the process. This input will help to ensure that we can create the best possible physical surroundings in the future University City and the University Park. These will enable us to consolidate and develop our current and future teaching and research activities as well as our relationship with the world around us,” he says.

The consultation process

The school’s heads of department and division managers have been asked to ensure local discussions before 23 October. The discussions will take a starting point in a submitted catalogue of questions, which builds on preliminary input gathered in September.

In addition to the local discussions, all employees and students can send their input directly to nycampus.bss@au.dk.

When the consultation process is over, the input will be gathered in a consultation response. This will be submitted to the rector and form part of the board’s final decision on Campus 2.0 in December.
