The board of studies for your degree program consists of elected representatives of students and academic staff. The board of studies is responsible for the quality and continuous development of the degree program. This also includes plans for teaching and exams, as well as the academic evaluation of credit transfer and exemption applications.

After a thorough investigation and consultation process the faculty management team at Aarhus BSS decided on a new study board structure, which among other things entails that three full-time educations switches to new boards of studies from 1 February 2018. This concerns the following degree programs:

  • Business Administration with supplementary subject (BA and MA in social sciences) and supplementary subject in Business Administration:
The Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration with supplementary subject (BA Soc.) has been reorganized. This means, that from 1 September 2017 it follows the structure of the degree program in BSc Economics and Business Administration. Therefore, both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs are moved to the board of studies for Economics and Business Administration. Students will be able to find information on their degree programs at the study portal for Economics and Business Administration.

  • Public Policy (BSc degree programme):
The Bachelor's degree program in Public Policy will be moved to the board of studies that also handles the Master’s degree programme, where the students have a legal right of admission after completed Bachelor’s degree programme, namely the board of studies for Economics and Management. Students enrolled in the Bachelor’s degree program in Public Policy will still find information on their degree program at the study portal for the Bachelor's degree program in Public Policy.

  • Msc in Information Technology (IT, Communication and Organization, ITKO):
A large part of the students enrolled in this degree program hold a Bachelor’s degree within communication. In order to ensure the best possible opportunities for development and relevant academic discussions, the degree program is moved to the board of studies for Business Communication and IT. Students will be able to find information about their degree program at the study portal for Business Communication.

All boards of studies have assigned seats for students and academic staff from the above mentioned degree programs.

These changes will not influence the students' everyday lives or study progress. If you are in doubt about anything, you are always welcome to contact ASK Aarhus BSS Student Services or the student counsellors for your degree program.
