You can apply for grants and, if necessary, a student loan from the Danish Students’ Grants and Loans Scheme (SU) once you have started studying at Aarhus University. You must apply for SU via minSU at www.su.dk. To access minSU, you have to use NemID, which can also be ordered on the SU website. It takes some time to get NemID, so order it immediately if you don’t already have it. This will ensure that you receive your SU on time. Please note that special rules apply if your are a foreign citizen. See the guidelines at www.su.dk.
When applying for SU via minSU, make sure you select the correct section under Aarhus University.
First choose Aarhus University, then the section at which you will be studying.
SU is paid in advance, and the deadline for applying for SU for September is 30 September 2015.
Questions regarding tax must always be submitted to SKAT (tel. 72 22 18 18), which electronically forwards tax details to the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Educational Support.
When you receive SU, it is your responsibility to ensure that you know and comply with the SU rules about, for example, income limits (private earnings maximum amount) and study activities. Rules, rates, deadlines and guidance are described in more detail at www.su.dk.
