As a student at Aarhus University you have several options for studying abroad.

It is just up to you to take advantage of them.

Are you dreaming about working outside Denmark? Or have you always been fascinated by other cultures? Studying abroad will without a doubt benefit you on both a personal and an academic level. Here are five reasons why you should study abroad:

  • You get insight in other cultures and countries. This applies to your host country but also to all the other international students you will meet along the way.
  • You will gain international experience that will be appreciated by your future employer. Today, students face an international job market which is why international understanding and cultural skills will be beneficial.
  • You expand your academic horizon. You will have the opportunity to enroll in courses that is not offered at AU. This will give you inspiration for your future study plans and open doors to new professional discoveries.
  • You gain greater independence and a greater knowledge of yourself. A stay abroad will shape your personality and transform your experience into skills that are demanded on the job market both nationally and internationally.

Special Educational Support (SPS)

Did you know that you can bring your SPS (Special Educational Support) with you when you go abroad on exchange.
Normally you will be able to receive the same amount abroad as you receive for a semester at AU.

Important dates

  • 1 May 2022: Application deadline only for seats in Spring 2023
  • 1 December 2022: Application deadline for seats in Autumn and Spring in the academic year 2023-24

Circle U. is an alliance with eight research intensive European universities in e.g. England, France, Belgium, Serbia og Italy. The alliance focuses on research, education and innovation in climate, global health and democracy.
