north2north - scholarships for students with an interest in the Arctic

Aarhus University is a member of the UArctic network, consisting of universities and other institutions dealing with Arctic themes. The Uarctic is now offering scholarships through the north2north program for student exchange, field courses, etc. in Arctic-related topics. Where can I go?

The participating countries are Canada, Finland, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, Sweden and the United States. You can find a list of participating north2north universities here.

Grant sizes

Grants for study trips range between 1000 – 1500 euros depending on the length of stay (between 2 and 12 months) plus a travel allowance of between 500 – 1000 EURO.

Scholarships for shorter courses, field courses, and conferences ranges between 1000 – 1500 euros depending on where you are going.

How to apply


The application deadlines are:

15 February for mobilities taking place in the following autumn and spring semester.

You can apply for funding for studying abroad, field courses, summer courses etc. provided that the activity takes place at a n2n institution. All full-time students on undergraduate, graduate or PhD level  and all AU staff can apply. Read more about the terms for exchange through the north2north programme on Uarctics website.

You can expect to get answers to your application by the end of March.
