Your Danish CPR card is also your Danish Health Insurance card. With this you can see a doctor (General Practitioner (GP) /family doctor) without charge. When you receive your health insurance card, your doctor's contact details are printed on your Health Insurance Card if you need to make an appointment. Remember to bring your Danish Health Insurance Card when you go to see the doctor.

The regular opening hours for GPs in Denmark are 8-16. However, most GPs have one day a week with longer opening hours.

Note that phoning time is normally between 8.00 - 9.00 only.

However, in case of serious illness or accident during your study in Denmark, we encourage you to contact the International Centre. Generally, if you have concerns regarding personal or health related issues, you are always welcome to come by the International Centre for a talk.
