EcoSense student project: Better utilization of wind power in Denmark

Three BDE students have investigated how surplus energy from wind mills can be used to produce heat in a cost competitive way compared to existing technologies. Their conclusions are meant to serve as a foundation for further research in EcoSense.

New AU medium is now a reality

Aarhus University’s senior management team supports the working groups and has agreed to a new newspaper with extra resources and the appointment of an editorial committee. The successor to UNIvers now needs to find an editor-in-chief and a journalist.

Students will along with a working group consisting of interdepartmental representatives ensure that no tasks at BSS remain unsolved. The group will meet every three weeks to address large as well as minor tasks.

Post.au.dk hit by fire – important student e-mails to be moved by Monday

As of Monday 22 October, all the old student e-mails in the @post.au.dk system will be inaccessible while AU IT migrates them to a new server. A fire that broke out in connection with renovations in building 1445 has affected the server containing the students’ mailboxes. The mailboxes can send and receive new e-mails and redirect them as usual.

David Vranicar from the USA is a former student of AU, and also used to be the international student writer for UNIvers. He has now written a book about what it’s like to be a graduate in a time of crisis and to travel half-way round the world in search of a steady job.
