ARTS COMPANYDATING 2021 - ONLINE IN WEEK 8
This is an event that gives you the chance to meet the labour market face to face. Many different types of companies take part – and they look forward to meeting you.
These companies are ready to discuss student jobs, internships, writing your thesis in collaboration with them, and even full-time employment. You will get the chance to introduce yourself and ask questions about potential career opportunities, job functions, the kind of competences companies are looking for, and much else besides.
You can also meet a range of trade unions and unemployment insurance organisations, who can give you qualified feedback on your CV or applications, so that you are ready to meet the companies.
We recommend that you prepare for this event so you get as much as possible out of the day. You will find some tips about how to prepare below.
Please be aware that the presentations during the event will be in Danish, but you are welcome to join and talk to the companies in English. Later, you can find a list at this webpage of which companies do not require Danish skills.
Every year in November, Aarhus municipality hosts International Company Day where you can meet companies looking for internationals.

PRATICAL INFORMATION
Arts CompanyDating will take place in week 8 2021, Monday-Thursday at 15.15-17-00.
Every day you can meet 8 different companies, that will each have two minutes to present themselves (In Danish). This will take place in a shared Zoom-room. Afterwards, you can meet each of the companies in their own Zoom-room, where you can ask questions or just listen to hear other students’ questions and the company’s replies. This is where you will have the opportunity to create contact with the company. The more you ask, the better foundation you will have to take the contact a notch further.
There will be plenty of time to visit several of the companies’ Zoom-rooms, as you can enter and leave the rooms as you wish.

Make sure to sit somewhere, where your camera and speakers can be on. That will create the best conditions for the meetings.

PREPARATION IS IMPORTANT
To help you get as much as possible out of this event, we recommend that you do a bit of preparation. You will find some ideas about how to prepare for CompanyDating at the Faculty of Arts below.
- You will be given the chance to meet a wide range of different companies – including companies which you might not think have any relevance for your specific degree programme. But the labour market for graduates in the humanities is a broad one. So try to keep an open mind about this. Arts CompanyDating is an obvious opportunity to gain insight into various branches of business and job functions. It can help you learn more about the kind of labour market that is available for humanities graduates.
- Here at this webpage, you will continually find an updated list of the companies taking part. Try reading about these companies in advance, and think about how you can create value for them. For instance, you could use the preparation form.
- Find out which relevant job adverts the companies are posting, and read them carefully. You will find links to these job adverts here at the webpage.
- Once you have filled in the preparation form, you’ll be ready to meet the companies.
- Update your LinkedIn profile so it looks good! Then you are ready to send the companies a link, when they ask for it.
- And take part in Arts Karriere’s other events leading up to Arts CompanyDating, so you know how to write an excellent CV (for instance).
