Summer Exams: Changes to the exam schedule

AU has decided to change the start time for written on-site exams in Aarhus and Herning this summer (May-August). The exams will now start one hour later than originally planned.  

This means that the first on-site exam will start at 10:00 instead of 09:00, and all subsequent exams will thus start one hour later.

The change does not apply to the engineering Admission course or AU Viborg.

Ensuring good transportation options

The decision has been made to ensure that students have the best possible transportation options to AU's new exam hall, which will house all written on-site exams in Aarhus from 1 May.

AU has been in dialogue with Midttrafik and believes that by changing the start time from 09:00 to 10:00, students can benefit from greater capacity on public transport when travelling to the exam hall and avoid the rush hour between 07:00 and 08:30.   

• You can see your updated exam schedule on your study portal at studerende.au.dk under ‘Examination’ > ‘Examination schedules’.

• You will receive a direct notification via WISEflow about the time and location of your exam in your AU email approximately one week before the exam.

Transportation to the exam hall

The exam hall will be open from 08:00 on all exam days, and you can check in for your first exam from 09:00.

It’s a good idea to leave plenty of time for your transportation. You can reach the exam hall by bus or light rail, but you can also use the new commuter bike path, which takes you directly to the front door.
