As of 1 July, your student card will no longer be a payment card

As of Wednesday 1 July 2015, you will no longer be able to use your student card to pay for print or purchases in the cafeteria or the vending machines at AU Herning. So make sure to use all the money you have on your student card account, because after 1 July the money on your account will no longer be disposable.

Reason
As of the summer 2015, the production of student cards will be handled by AU’s estates facilities in Aarhus, and this means that from July an onwards, you will only be able to use your student card as an access card to the buildings at AU Herning – the card will no longer function as a payment card.

Will I still be able to use my student card?
Your student card still function as an access card. If you lose or damage your student card, you can order a new card via mit.au.dk. Read more about how to order a student card: studerende.au.dk/en/counselling/studentid/

How does printing work from now on?
Aarhus University uses one joint print solution for students called MyPrint. You may start using the MyPrint system now via the printer in the library. The system does not require you to use your student card. Over the course of the summer, a new printer with the MyPrint solution will be installed by the IT support unit. Read more about MyPrint on: library.au.dk/en/using-the-library/myprint-print-and-copy/

The current printer will be removed over the course of the summer.
