Joint graduation ceremony for 680 graduates at BSS

As tradition speaks, a big graduation ceremony was held on Friday 5 October for graduates in 19 courses in language and business communication and business administration from the School of Business and Social Sciences. Also, the best two master theses were awarded by the Danish Export Association.

The scene was set in the new Building S at Campus on Fuglesangs Allé on Friday 5 October for the annual graduation ceremony for graduates in language and business communication and business administration from the School of Business and Social Sciences.

680 graduates, who have graduated throughout the last 12 months, were invited for the ceremony, which officially marked the end of their education at Aarhus University.

Speeches were held by Vice-dean for education at BSS, Peder Østergaard and Director of Corporate Communications at Danish Crown Anne Villemoes. Anne told the graduates how important and necessary it is to be able to imagine their dream job before they can actually apply for it.

Finally, the best two master theses were awarded by the Danish Export Association.

More than 250 people took part in the ceremony, including 80 graduates who received their alumni pins.


Director of Corporate Communications at Danish Crown Anne Villemoes told the graduates how she as a child dreamed of becoming a clown and that she never would have imagined how she actually sees her drem job today.


In between speeches Ronnie Flyvbjerg Olesen and Anne Hjort entertained with music of John Lennon amongst others.
 






Morten Schou Jakobsen and Mads Nedergaard received a prize for Bachelor thesis of the year.


Magnus Skriver and Randi Mortensen received  the prize for Master thesis of the year.
