You can find the "Clusters" with electives here with courses you can register for. You should see in the course catalogue before registering to ensure that you meet the academic requirements for the course.

If you wish to attend courses outside your programme/university you must apply for a pre-approval well in advance. In the following link you can find information about applying for pre-approval of courses from other studies or universities.
Before you register for any courses, please check whether the classes or exam dates for the courses in question overlap. You can do this through the course clusters or by manually checking for any overlapping classes or exams in the timetables.
Course clusters:
The timetables and exam schedules have been configured to ensure that no classes and/or exams overlap within the course clusters, but it is possible to encounter overlapping classes and/or exams between courses from different course clusters.
You are free to select courses from the course cluster that best suits your study programme.
Elective courses from different course clusters:
If you want to register for courses from different course clusters, please be highly aware that you risk having classes or exams that overlap. Before you register for courses from different course clusters, please check for:
If you have to attend a compulsory course along with your elective course, you also have to remember to check for any overlaps between the compulsory course and the elective course. You can also check compulsory courses in timetable.au.dk
After the deadline for registration, there may unfortunately still be changes to the timetable that will cause an overlap of teaching and/or exams.
Please be aware that your registration is binding.
If the number of registrations for a course exceeds the number of available places on that course, the places will be allocated by drawing lots.
If you are not granted a place on one or more of your desired courses, you must register anew in the second registration period.
If you initially registered for three courses but are now only able to see two courses in your overview of registrations, you were not allocated a place on all your desired courses in the first round of registration. This means that you will be able to register for a third course in the second registration period.
All students who have been registered for their selected courses are bound by their choice. This means that you will not be able to cancel or change your registration for elective courses once the deadline for registration has expired, and the elective course is a binding part of your study programme.
If you are registered for a course, you can only withdraw from this registration if instead, the semester in question are to be used for:
· Project placement (internship)
· Exchange
· Admission as a visiting student at other study programmes/educational institutions
Should this be the case, you must contact kandidat.bss@au.dk
The study administration may grant permission to change elective courses in exceptional circumstances. The permission may be granted if the Director of studies assesses, that you lack the academic qualifications required to complete the course, that you have commenced. In connection with the assessment, the Director of studies may, among other things, include which courses you have previously completed.
To apply for a change of elective courses, you must:
Deadline for Applications: 12 September/12 February in the semester that you are registered for the course you wish to change.
The change of elective courses is on the condition that the course you wish to change to is offered in the same semester as the course you wish to change from. Moreover, the course you wish to change to must have an available seat. In other words: You cannot cancel a course registration in favour of a course or other study activities in another semester or in the summer period between two semesters.
If you need to withdraw from an elective course due to exceptional circumstances such as illness or the like, you can apply for an exemption via mitstudie.au.dk
