Limited access to Aarhus University Student Self Service (STADS)

From 2 October to 23 October 2013 there will be limited access to Aarhus University Student Self Service (STADS)

2013.09.05 | Majbritt Nielsen

The Aarhus University Student Self Service in STADS will be closed from 2 October to 23 October at 10.00 due to the conversion of study administration data from AU Herning (AUHE) and Aarhus University School of Engineering (ASE) to AU STADS.

After the conversion, all studies administration data at AU will combined in one STADS, which, among other things, will make it more flexible to take courses offered by other degree programmes. It also means that all AU students will be able to access the Education Grants and Loan Scheme (SU) system in the same way, and that they will only have to deal with one student self-service system and one course catalogue, regardless of which degree programme they are enrolled in.

What do the shut-down period and the limited access to Aarhus University Student Self Service mean for you?

In the shut-down period, you have access to a copy of Aarhus University Student Self Service (STADS). This means you can only look up information and print it out. In other words, you will have read-only access, but you will not be able to register or withdraw from courses and exams.

Those students who have been enrolled in a course in a previous semester and now wish to participate in the autumn or winter exam 2013-14 shall sign up for the exams between 15 – 30 September. This can be done via Self Service.

Please be aware that those students who are enrolled in one or more courses in the autumn semester 2013 automatically will be signed up for the relevant autumn and winter exams 2013-14. Therefore, they shall NOT sign up for the exams themselves, but just make sure to check that the registration appears correctly on Self Service.

If you have questions regarding registration for autumn or winter exams 2013-14, please feel free to contact BSS Study Service.

If you complete your studies in the period when STADS is shut down, you must cancel your SU for November, or you will be required to repay the amount for November.

Access to e-learning systems

Blackboard, CampusNet, AULA and First Class will operate normally during the closing period. The only restriction in these systems will be that students who have registered late/withdrawn will not be transferred in Blackboard and CampusNet.
