Specialisation:

Communications
and Networks

Here you will find a description of the Communications and Networks specialisation. This specialisation is available in the Master of Science programmes in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.

The Specialisation in Communications and Networks will teach you about the technologies behind communication in modern networks, and you will gain an in-depth theoretical understanding of efficient and reliable data transmission. You will also learn how network protocols and mechanisms in resource allocation can ensure Quality of Service (QoS) in network systems with heterogeneous data and applications.

You will bring your knowledge of electronics or software development into play in projects involving the design of communication systems and networks and wireless technologies. You will have the opportunity to delve into topics such as sensor networks and Internet of Things (loT), and you will gain a theoretical understanding of the mathematics behind information theory and modelling of signal propagation in wireless channels.

As a graduate MSc in Engineering with specialisation in Communications and Networks, you will be an expert in implementing methods for efficient data compression and storage in network systems, and you will be in high demand in virtually all industries in both Denmark and abroad.
