Course registration spring 2019
Remember to register for elective courses in the spring semester 2019 from 1 - 5 November!
It is time to register for courses in the spring semester 2019. In this regard, it is important that you are aware of a number of things. Therefore, please read the following information before registering for courses via STADS.
Check the rules for course composition
When considering which courses you wish to follow in the spring semester, it is important that you take into consideration the specific rules of course compostion that apply to your education. You can read more in the academic regulations. If you need guidance on choice of subject and study planning, you are welcome to contact the student counsellors for your degree programme. Please make sure to seek guidance well in advance.
Registration for courses are binding
This means that you cannot deregister or change the courses you have signed up for after the registration deadline, unless you apply for and receive an exemption from the board of studies. If compulsory courses are part of your study programme in the spring semester and you are following a prescribed study programme, you will automatically be registered these courses when the registration period starts. It is, however, your own responsibility to check that you are registered correctly.
It is possible to register for courses in the period between the 1st and 5th of November, 2018. You register through STADS, which you can access via mitstudie.au.dk. When you have registered, you can check and follow your course registrations on mitstudie.au.dk on the new sub-page called “my study timeline”. If there are course registrations that you cannot see in your study timeline, please check in STADS.
Get a visual overview of your study
On November 1st, Aarhus University launches “my study timeline”. The study timeline is an online tool, which provides you with a visual overview of your study. Furthermore, it enables you to check your course registrations and keep track of your maximum period of study, your course results as well as potential missing courses. You find the study timeline as a sub-page on mitstudie.au.dk.
NB! Some students do not have a study timeline. If you are one of them, please check your registrations on STADS instead.
Check your AU-mail
In case a course is cancelled or if for other reasons your course registrations are not approved, we will notify you via your AU-mail. It is therefore very important that you frequently check your AU-mail both during and after the registration period.
