2017.01.17 | Marie Louise Bro Pold

To help students become acquainted with standard software tools and resources for empirical research and writing reports and theses, the department of The Department of Economics and Business Economics offers the students the opportunity to participate in the ECON Data and Software Lab (EDSL).

  • Time: Tuesdays from 10:00 to 13.00 in weeks 5-6, 8-14 and 16-18.
  • Location: Room is 2627 - 008 (H8), building 2627

At the workshops, both BA and MA students can get software and text editing help for report and thesis writing and there will be introductions to software tools such as:

  • Text editing and reference management
  • Data access and extraction
  • Programming
  • Graphical presentation

EDSL is open for all no matter the year of your student ID. Registration is not necessary. The course will run as a “study café” allowing students to ask questions and get help with technical problems. Introductory presentations are also given upon request.
