Rector: AU should have five faculties instead of four
Science and Technology has grown so large that AU's rector now proposes splitting it into two seperate faculties. Read more about how that affects you, and how you can give your comments on the proposal.
Dear students at ST.
The Faculty of Science and Technology at Aarhus University has grown so large that the rector is now proposing to split it into two faculties. The goal in doing so would be to make the dean’s leadership task more manageable, which in turn would improve quality and create better balance at the university as a whole.
The splitting of ST is not expected to affect you daily life as a student. For instance will you still be able to follow courses offered at other institutes/faculties. The proposed model maintains the current departmental structure as well as the responsible for education and courses is too be carried on after the current agreements.
The proposal is now being submitted for a broad consultation process. You can read the proposal at scitech.medarbejdere.au.dk/en/process-for-future-organisation-of-st.
If you have comments to the proposal, we ask you to submit them at the latest Friday, May 17, 2019, to your Student Council (BFU, DSAU, MFSR, MoGenS eller RIA)
