AU IT will update the AU wireless network. From the 15th of August students and employees can only access the wireless network, eduroam, using one type of user name:

User name:     au<AUID>@uni.au.dk (fx au123456@uni.au.dk)

Password:        The same password as mit.au.dk or AU webmail

You can find your AUID on mit.au.dk to the right of your name.

15 percent of eduroam users already use the correct user name. The rest can start using the correct user name now in order to avoid losing connection to eduroam from 15 August. Eduroam should be set up correctly on all units using eduroam: laptops, tablets and mobiles.

Do the following:

  • Run the installationprogram ‘eduroam installer’ from cat.eduroam.org.
  • Type your username and password as described above.

If the user name isn't correct on 15 August, you will (when trying to gain access to eduroam) be requested to use the above mentioned correct user name and password. When this is done, you will again have access to eduroam.

AU IT will send info mails on 4 August to all users who have used eduroam recently but haven’t changed their user name. This will be repeated on 8 August for those who still haven't updated the login information.

Eduroam.au.dk will soon be updated with guidelines to the various units.
