As part of the Master’s degree programme, you may take one seminar where you work on a self-chosen topic.
In the AU Course Catalogue you will find a course description of the learning objectives and exam details for the Individual Political Science Seminar.
Before you can commence an Individual Political Science Seminar, you need to follow these steps:
1. Find, contact and make an agreement with a supervisor
Before the course registration period, it is your responsibility to find, contact and make an agreement with a supervisor, i.e. a member of academic staff from the Department of Political Science. Your agreement with a supervisor and approval of the topic must be made at the latest in connection with the course registration period.
If you have not been able to make an agreement with a supervisor before the course registration deadline, please contact the director of studies/the course coordinator. You will find the contact information in the course description.
You register for the Individual Political Science Seminar in the Student Self-service system (STADS) during the course registration period. Log in to the student Self-service system (STADS) via mystudies.au.dk.
3. Registration of your supervisor agreement
Once you have made an agreement with your supervisor, this must be registered in the study administration. You do this by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than the course registration deadline (please remember to send the email from your student email).
Write in the subject field of the email: "Supervisor Agreement: Individual Political Science Seminar"

If, due to special circumstances, you are in a situation where you are registered for Individual Political Science Seminar after the registration period, you must send the email to email@example.com as soon as you have been registered.
