Very soon it will once again be time for exams, and for many this is a trying time. To help you well on your way, we provide three pieces of valuable advice that may be useful for you before, during and after the exam period:

  1. Check the exam requirements
  2. Avoid cheating at exams
  3. Handle your stress during exam periods

Advice number 1: Check the exam requirements
Are you familiar with Aarhus University’s rules on registration for, participation in and withdrawal of registration for examinations? If not, it might be a good idea to read through the rules and regulations.

As a student at School of Business and Social Sciences you should be aware that there are special rules and regulations regarding the use of computers during examinations. For instance, as of 1 May 2014, most written exams at BSS must be submitted digitally through the system WISEflow. To read more about digital exams, go to: bss.au.dk/digital-exam-wiseflow.

Advice number 2: Avoid cheating at exams

Cheating at an exam is a serious offence, and it can have severe consequences for you as a student. That’s why it’s very important that you take heed of the following points related to cheating:

  • What constitutes cheating at exams?
  • Why is cheating at an exam a serious offence?
  • What are the implications of cheating at an exam?
  • Situations to avoid

There is already much focus on exam cheating – and this focus will only increase with the implementation of digital written exams in the near future. As mentioned above, as of 1 may 2014 most written exams must be handed in digitally through the system WISEflow, and all exam papers will automatically go through the plagiarism control system URKUND.
