The Royal Danish Library will be closed on the weekend of April 11–12 – both physically and online

Due to an IT system update, the Royal Danish Library will be closed at all AU locations on April 11–12. During this period, it will also not be possible to access the library's digital services. However, users with 24/7 access can still enter and use the libraries, for example for studying.

Update 8/4: New information has been added from the Royal Danish Library regarding 24/7 access.

The closure is due to necessary work on the library’s IT infrastructure, which means that several core systems will be temporarily unavailable. As a result, the library will not be able to remain open at its physical locations.

Users with 24/7 access via their student ID can still enter the libraries and use them for study or group work. See more about 24/7 access on this page from AU Library.

During that weekend, users will not be able to access kb.dk, order materials, use the Royal Danish Library’s digital services, or access any of the library’s other electronic resources.

For Aarhus BSS, access to Workspace (Eikon) will remain unchanged.

By Monday morning, 13 April at the latest, the digital services will be running again, and the physical locations will be open as usual.

An overview of the Royal Danish Library’s AU locations can be found on this page from AU Library.
