The Royal Danish Library: You now need to be logged in to gain access

For security reasons, the Royal Danish Library is introducing a new login solution for its digital systems. The new login system also means that some links will stop working.

The library’s new access solution come into effect today, Tuesday 17 March. This means that automatic IP access to online materials from campus or via VPN will close down and you will have to create a user account and log in at soeg.kb.dk or library.au.dk to access the library’s materials.

See how to register as a user on the Royal Danish Library’s website

The new login solution also means that some but not all saved links will stop working form Monday 27 April.

  • Only links containing ez.statsbiblioteket.dk in the URL will stop working
    (e.g. https://link-springer-com.ez.statsbiblioteket.dk/book/10.1007/978-1-4842-7799-7).

  • Links beginning with https://soeg.kb.dk will continue to work.

If you have saved links - for example in your browser - you should check whether they still work. You should also check any literature reference links in assignments you are going to submit.

More information about the new access solution and links is available on this AU Library page
