Your AU email is moving to Microsoft 365, and you’ll get access to Teams
In May, all students at AU will get access to Teams and other tools in the Microsoft 365 package. This also means that your AU email will be moved to Microsoft Exchange (Outlook). The switch will happen automatically for most students, but some students will be asked to clean up their mailboxes first. You will be notified directly if you need to clean up your mailbox.

Students can look forward to gaining access to the tools in the Microsoft 365 package, including the collaboration platform Teams. This will give all students a newer and better digital platform for their studies, with opportunities for collaboration between students and between students and teachers.
Before you can start using the new tools, your AU email has to move from post.au.dk to Microsoft Exchange. This will happen in May.
What to be aware of when your email moves
-
Your email address will remain the same and you will still be able to access your emails through Mitstudie (mystudies.au.dk).
-
Your new mailbox will be set up before 1 May, but you should continue to use post.au.dk until you’re notified.
-
Most students won’t have to do anything, as the content in post.au.dk will be moved to Microsoft Exchange automatically. Your old emails will be available on post.au.dk until your content has been moved to the new platform.
-
If your post.au.dk email contains large emails or your mailbox is too full, you will need to clean up your mailbox before it can be moved to the new platform. You will be notified directly via your AU email and on Mitstudie (mystudies.au.dk) if you have to clean up your mailbox.
In March and April, you will receive more information via your AU email about the switch and how to access your new mailbox.
