Have you installed MS Visio or MS Project on your computer?

Aarhus University has made a new Microsoft licence agreement. This time, MS Visio and MS Project are not part of the agreement. Therefore, AU IT encourages you to contact your local IT support if you have one of both programs installed on your computer because you have to decide if one or both programs can be uninstalled or whether you/your unit wants to buy a licens.

According to AU's old Microsoft (MS) Campus licence agreement, staff members from several departments and the administration were able to install MS Visio and MS Project on their computer. In the renegotiation of the licence agreement, it turned out not to be cost-effetive for AU to continue with the two programs in the agreement.

If you have installed MS Visio or MS Project on your computer, please decide if one or both programs can be uninstalled or if you/your unit wishes to buy a licence.

AU IT has identified a number of computers where the programs have been installed via AU IT's server. If you are the owner of one of these computers, you will receive a personal email from your local IT support asking you to contact us, if you wish to continue using the programs.

However, AU IT cannot identify all computers where MS Visio and MS Project are installed. Therefore, we encourage all staff members who have one or both programs installed, to contact their local IT support. In that way, we can ensure that all AU's Microsoft licences are legal in the future.
