Please note the new parking restrictions at AU in Aarhus
New parking restrictions came into effect on the campus in Aarhus from 1 February 2018. Among other things, the new rules mean that a number of parking spaces will now be reserved for employees of the university. It is therefore important to find out about alternative parking.
Why the amended parking restrictions?
AU in Aarhus is located in an extremely busy academic and commercial environment. For several years now, the increasing pressure on parking spaces at AU has made it difficult for many employees to find a parking space close to their work. Approx. 2,200 parking spaces at a number of the university’s buildings in Aarhus have therefore been reserved for the 7,000 employees who work in those buildings.
The new parking restrictions will be evaluated on an ongoing basis.
The free start-up period will end on 28 Februar
ParkZone will manage the parking areas from March 1st 2018. Before that, it is important to familiarise yourself with alternative parking facilities at the campus in Aarhus to avoid a parking fine. There are a number of public car parks at the campus in Aarhus – and even more if you are willing to park a short distance from the campus.
Here you can find an overview of the public car parks in the University Park and at Aarhus BSS – Fuglesangs Allé.
NB
If you have been fined in error for parking in AU’s designated employee parking spaces in the period 1 February – 28 February 2018, you can contact AU Employee Parking at tek@au.dk.
With a valid disability parking permit displayed in the windscreen, you can park at any time in the spaces which are otherwise reserved for employees at AU.
