Make your voice heard at the university

Which of your fellow students should represent you on the board of studies and academic council? Exercise your democratic rights – and support your favourite candidates – by voting in the university elections. The polls are open until Thursday 13 November.

Democracy is not just something that happens at Christiansborg. It also happens in the canteen and on your board of studies. The university elections are about everything that shapes your student life – and now you have the chance to make your voice heard. AU Foto: Jens Hartmann Schmidt

Democracy starts close to home. By voting in the university elections, you can make a real difference to your student experience: your teaching, your exams, and your daily life on campus.

You can vote in the university elections until Thursday 13 November. With just a few clicks on your laptop, you can cast your vote for the student representatives who will speak on your behalf on your degree programme’s board of studies and your academic council.

There’s a lot at stake in these elections: the bodies your representatives will participate in are responsible for discussing and deciding important issues. For example, the boards of studies draft the academic regulations that decide the structure of your degree programme, follow up on teaching assessments and approve exam schedules. The student representatives on councils and committees help influence and implement the small and large initiatives that make AU a great place to learn for you and your fellow students.

How to vote

Please note that elections may be uncontested or cancelled if only one or no candidates run. If this is the case, you cannot vote in these elections. You can see a list of uncontested and cancelled elections here.
