Winter weather: AU expects exams to take place on 7 January

A snowstorm warning has been issued for North Jutland, but AU expects Wednesday's exams to take place as scheduled. If the warning is extended and your exam is cancelled, you will be notified in your AU mailbox.

A snowstorm warning has been issued for 7 January in North Jutland, but, so far, the warning does not apply to Aarhus, Herning or Viborg. Aarhus University therefore expects all exams on Wednesday to take place as planned.

In the unlikely event that the warning is extended to cover Aarhus, Herning or Viborg, AU will follow the recommendations of the authorities, and you will be notified in your AU mailbox if your exam has been cancelled. Any cancellations will apply to both written and oral exams.

What if I can’t get to my exam because of the weather?

It’s a good idea to allow plenty of time to get to your exam and to take possible bus cancellations into account. Stay updated on the Midttrafik website.

If you can’t get to your exam because of bad weather, you can apply for exam dispensation from your local board of studies.

Who can I contact if I have questions?

You are always welcome to contact the Student Counsellors' Office if you have any questions.

But it’s important you keep an eye on your AU mailbox – because this is where you will be notified if your exam is cancelled.
