Uddannelsens struktur - Mekanik (kandidat)

Uddannelsens opbygning

Civilingeniør (2-årig kandidatuddannelse) består af:

  • Obligatoriske pakker (compulsory study package)
  • Specialiseringspakker (specialised study package)
  • Valgkurser (elective courses)
  • Speciale (30 ECTS)

Første studieår består af to obligatoriske studiepakker og to specialiseringspakker. De obligatoriske pakker skal følges af alle studerende, specialiseringspakkerne vælges inden for specialiseringsområderne. Det andet studieår består af et valgfrit program og et speciale.

Specialiseringspakker

Choose minimum two of the specialised study packages:

AUTUMN

Structural Mechanics

The package addresses the need of important knowledge in analytical and numerical solutions of structural Mechanics problems. It will provide the students with important skills to design, simulate and verify mechanical structures and components with complex shapes, materials and loads. The Package will give the students insight into current research topics and industrial applications.
Prerequisites: Basics skills in Continuum Mechanics and Finite Element Theory for continua

  • Beams and Plates 5 ECTS
  • FEM for Nonlinear Materials and Geometry 10 ECTS

Fluid Dynamics

The package addresses the need of important knowledge in analytical and numerical solutions of Fluid Dynamics problems. It will provide the students with important skills to describe, analyse and simulate fluid dynamics, ranging from ideal via laminar to turbulent flows. The Package will give the students insight into current research topics and industrial applications such as wind turbines.
​Prerequisites:Classical Mechanics, Advanced Calculus and Linear Algebra

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics 5 ECTS
  • Fluid Dynamics and Turbulence 10 ECTS
     

Robotics

  • Robotics Robotics 5 ECTS
  • Control and Sensor Technology 10 ECTS

 

SPRING

Dynamics

The package addresses the need of important knowledge in analytical and numerical solutions of structural dynamics problems. It will provide the students with important skills to simulate and verify dynamics of structures with multiple degrees of freedoms. Simulation will use advanced formulation as discrete element and reduction methods. The Package will give the students insight into current research topics and industrial applications such as wind turbines and vehicles.
​Prerequisites: Basic Dynamics and programming Knowledge

  • Computational Dynamics 5 ECTS
  • Dynamic Systems with Applications 10 ECTS

Fracture and Composits

The package addresses  the knowledge of analysing fibre composite structures, fracture mechanics and fatigue of both composites and other materials such as steel structures. The packages will content both the theoretical basics and numerical solutions. When designing lightweights constructions with modern materials the fracture mechanics validations of the design and estimating the lifetime of a component becomes more and more important. The Package will give the students insight into current research topics.
​Prerequisites: Basics skills in Continuum Mechanics and Finite Element Theory for continua.. Recommended: Basic skills in Beam theory and Composite Manufacturing.

  • Fracture Mechanics 10 ECTS
  • Mechanics of Composite Materials 5 ECTS


Termo Machinery

The package addresses the need of important knowledge in analytical and numerical solutions of thermodynamic and thermo/turbo machinery problems. It will provide the students with important skills to analyse, simulate problems where energy are transferred between solids and fluid. The Package will give the students insight into current research topics and industrial applications such as wind turbines, heat exchangers and pumps.
​Prerequisites: Basic thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer and programming knowledge.

  • Termodynamics and Heat Transfer 10 ECTS
  • Turbo Machinery and Compressible Fluids 5 ECTS

Each study package amounts to 15 ECTS credits. By combining these study packages and concluding your studies with a thesis, you can become a specialist in relevant fields of study.
