Study Abroad in Molecular Biology

If you are considering going on exchange during your studies in molecular biology and molecular medicine there are several options available to you. Whatever you choose, the courses you take must be approved by your head of programme.

If you have questions regarding the academic aspects of your exchange, you can speak with your student councellor or head of programme. If you have questions about the application process, etc., please contact your international coordinator.

When can you go abroad?

As a student in the bachelor's programme in Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine, you can go on exchange during your 6th semester, as long as you move your bachelor’s project to the 5th semester.

As a student in the master’s programme in Molecular Biology, you can go abroad in either the first or second semester (i.e., autumn or spring). You are not allowed to go abroad for two semesters.

As a student in the master’s programme in Molecular Medicine, you can only go abroad during the second semester of the master’s programme, as there are mandatory courses in the autumn.
