The aim of the course is to give an introduction to basic biochemical and molecular biological processes in the cell. The course additionally covers fundamental aspects of basic
biotechnology and plant molecular biology.

Headlines:

Protein structures; enzymatic mechanisms; important cellular metabolic processes; biosynthesis of macromolecules; maintenance and regulation of genetic information; methods in
biotechnology; biochemical aspects of photosynthesis and plant hormones; transformation and regeneration of transgenic plants.

The course will be given as lectures, experimental laboratory courses, and theoretical exercises.
