Aim
The aim of the course is to give an introduction to basic biochemical and molecular biological processes in the cell. The course additionally covers fundamental aspects of basic biotechnology.
Contents
Protein structures; enzymatic mechanisms; important cellular metabolic processes; biosynthesis of macromolecules; maintenance and regulation of genetic information; methods in biotechnology.
The course will be given as lectures, experimental laboratory courses, and theoretical exercises.
