Interested in the Olympic Games? Join the Circle U.lympics

This year’s Olympic Games in Paris are only 200 days away, and AU is warming up for the event with our partners in the Circle U. alliance. The Circle U.lympics offers all students a chance to learn more about the Olympic Games through an series of webinars with athletes and top researchers. Participants can also apply to go on a 5-day trip to the 2024 Olympic host city of Paris and enjoy a week of sports, networking and Olympic atmosphere along with students from other Circle U. universities.

In the four webinars, students will learn about the Olympic Games from different perspectives such as religion, sustainability and gender as well as the impact of nutrition on physical performance.

All webinars take place on Zoom from 18.00 - 20.00 (CET). The first webinar takes place on 31 January with the topic: “Historical and ethical perspectives on the Olympic Games”.

The Circle U.lympics is concluded with a 5-day trip to Paris for selected students from 22 – 26 April 2024. Students who are interested in going must apply before 19 February. It will be possible to apply for travel funding.
