New face, new names: Aarhus University’s branding strategy ready to be implemented
Guidelines and instructions for Aarhus University’s new branding strategy are now ready.

Detailed guidelines for how to go about Aarhus University’s new branding strategy are available here. This site includes a description of how and when the different units should be described in Danish and English. Here you can also find the official names of the faculties, departments and national centres.
The website also contains templates for PowerPoint, letters, business cards and logos, as well as instructions in how to use them and/or order them.
A very important point is that Aarhus University must be highlighted – and not the research group, department or faculty. In other words, when you are presented to the media as a researcher, you must use your full title and name, followed by ‘Aarhus University’, e.g. ‘Professor of Human Genetics Jens Jensen, Aarhus University’.
Principles
The branding strategy’s five guiding principles are:
1. We must strengthen the AU brand as a joint platform for all.
2. We must create a flexible brand.
3. We must liberate the brand from the organisation.
4. We must prioritise strategically.
5. We must all contribute to the branding process, and deciding on the overall framework is the management’s responsibility.
You can read a more detailed description of the principles here.
