Northern underpass closed during the summer holidays
From 6 July to 16 August, the northern underpass connecting the University City and the University Park beneath Nørrebrogade will be closed so that the lighting can be replaced.

If you usually walk or cycle through the northern underpass between the University City and the University Park, please be aware that this underpass will be closed from 6 July to 16 August 2026.
This is to allow the lighting in the underpass to be replaced. The current lighting has proven unable to withstand the strain caused by traffic on Nørrebrogade. The new lighting system is designed to prevent dust and dirt from entering and damaging the fixtures.
The work has been scheduled for the summer holidays to minimise possible disruption to students, staff and local residents who use the underpass.
The central and southern underpasses connecting the University City and the University Park will remain open during this period.
Signs will be put up at both entrances to the northern underpass showing you how to reach the University City or the University Park via alternative routes.
