Content
Stochastic shape analysis is of considerable interest in biology and medicine. An approach which is very powerful is the deformable template approach. The idea is to use a template to represent a standard object and then construct a series of stochastic transformations, in order to transform the template into an observed object. The methods may be applied in the modelling of changes in cell shape in cancer tissue compared to normal tissue.
