About the Symposium

The Geological Student Symposium is a tradition started by the University of Aarhus and the University of Copenhagen, offering students of geology and geophysics from northern Europe a chance to network and discuss issues within their fields with their peers.

LOCATION

Aarhus University, Department of Geosciences,
Høegh-Guldbergs Gade 2, Building 1671, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark

ACCOMODATION

All participants are accommodated at the university. Bring your own sleeping bag and a sleeping mat.

REGISTRATION

Ticket sales are now open.

TALKS

If you participate in the symposium it gives you the opportunity to give a small talk about a geological topic. Topics can range from your bachelor /master thesis, field trips or just some interesting project you are working on that you would like to share. Anything goes! Talks are limited to 15 minutes.

POSTERS

You also have the choice to bring a poster (English or Danish) and talk about your research during a poster session.

12.30-13:30 Lunch break

15.30-18:00: Time on your own 
18.00-21.00: Dinner
