You have the opportunity to study abroad during your 6th semester of the Bachelor of Engineering program at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

As a student of the Bachelor of Engineering program, you are required to take the course "Preparation for Bachelor Project" during your 6th semester while abroad. You are expected to attend the classes online and stay informed throughout the semester. It is crucial that by the start of the 7th semester, you have identified a thesis topic and potential project partners.

*Special Note for Health Technology:

Most foreign universities offer health technology and medical engineering as specializations at the master's level rather than at the bachelor's level, which may make it challenging to find specific health technology courses at the undergraduate level.

Are you planning to study abroad during your Master's Degree Programme

You have the opportunity to study abroad during your 3rd semester of the Master in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

It is important that you have completed the mandatory courses before your departure, and we recommend that you have a plan for your Master Thesis before going on your study abroad.

Are you considering studying abroad during the Bachelor's Degree programme in Electrical Engineering / Bachelor of Computer Engineering

In the Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, you have 15 ECTS credits of mandatory courses in your 5th semester. Therefore, we recommend that you consider studying abroad during your master’s program instead. Testimonials from students who have been on exchange - what was the best thing about your study abroad period?

KU Leuven, Master of Electrical Engineering

  • I learned a new way of having lectures and how to study on my own. I also learned that I was capable of handling obstacles and dealing with them.

University of Agder, Bachelor of Software Technology

  • My new international friends and all our adventures. Hiking 40 km in mountains and wetlands with water above our ankles and a 37 km winter hike in the snow where both nights were spent cooking and tending fireplaces. There were many more. But get out there, Norway is absolutely beautiful.

BHT Berlin, Bachelor of Electronic Engineering

  • The value of learning subjects so that you can take a closed-book exam in the subject. This is really important to give an intuition for the field. (…) Speaking and hearing a lot of German, and eating Döners;)

Reykjavik University, Bachelor of Healthcare Technology Engineering

  • It was a mix between the people I met there and the amasing nature Iceland had.
