The main entrances to the buildings Edison, Shannon, Kahn and Nygaard follow the normal AU opening hours. The doors open at 7.30 in the morning and close at 16.00 in the afternoon. To access the buildings outside of the opening hours, you must use your keycard.
Cars
There are free parking spaces available around the Edison and Shannon buildings. It is also possible to park in Føtex´s car parc at Åbogade or along Katrinebjergvej and Finlandsgade.
Bicycle storage
Bikes must be stored at the bicycle storages behind Edison and Shannon.
IT support
The IT support at Katrinebjerg is located in the Nygaard building, Åbogade 34, room 198.
Usually, the opening hours are from 9.00-13.00.

At Katrinebjerg, there are two canteens. The large canteen in building 5520, Åbogade 15, Incuba Science Park, and a smaller canteen in the Nygaard building, Finlandsgade 21.
You can find kitchenettes on every floor in the Edison building.
You cannot have private mail sent to an AU address.
In relation to project work, it may be necessary to have mail/packages sent to Katrinebjerg from companies. In this case, please make sure that the following is stated clearly on the package: Aarhus University/department, name of recipient, student number and address.

When classrooms are not booked, everyone can use them for study-related work without making a reservation. However, in the exam periods, the rooms may be booked for exams. If you use the rooms, please leave tables where they are.
You can find student lockers for general use in the Edison and Shannon buildings.

All lockers must be empty in August.
If the lockers are not empty in August, they will be opened and all content will be thrown out!
Safety
It is important that everyone is aware of his or her own and others' safety. Always make sure to read the safety and user instructions before using any of the equipment.
Fire
The building is equipped with an acoustic warning system that will inform the users of the building of what to do in case of fire. The building is also equipped with a sprinkler system that will start fighting the fire automatically.
