Molecular Biology A

Molecular Biology A

NOTE: Lectures will be in Danish

Contents

The goal of the course is to elucidate (i) the organization in terms of molecular biology within a cell and (ii) the regulatoric processes involved in control of gene expression. Also, an introduction to methods in gene technology and biotechnology and to their applications will be given.

The molecular biology of a number of eukaryotic systems will be studied and explained on basis of the present knowledge of the molecular genetics and molecular biology of
bacteria and bacterial viruses. Laboratory course leads to a basic knowledge of basic biotechnology as DNA cloning and sequencing.
