History of Chemical Ideas

The course is an episodic survey of various principles, concepts, and theories that have played a role in the history of chemistry from the time of Plato to that of Pauling. By examination of a select number of cases the course offers insight in the historical and philosophical foundations of the chemical sciences.

Evaluation
To pass requires active participation and passing a written test or by passing an exam. It is possible to obtain further credits by writting an essay.
