Study portals

Continuing Education, Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences

Welcome to the study portal for Continuing Education at Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences.

Here, you will find useful information about your teaching and exams, as well as the necessary IT systems you will need to use while studying at Aarhus University.

Follow these 12 steps to get ready for your studies:

  1. Activate your account. Here, you will receive your AUID. You will need your Mit-ID to log in for the first time.
  2. Set up your AU email. It is important to set up your AU email; otherwise, you will not receive important messages from instructors and the administration. Regularly check your AU email, as we are not allowed to communicate with you via your private email address. Your AU email address is: studentnumber@post.au.dk.
  3. Ensure you have access to our learning platform, Brightspace. Instructors use Brightspace to share assignments, articles, and messages with you.
  4. Log in to mitstudie.au.dk – your personal page that serves as a gateway to teaching, study information, and self-service.
  5. Find your student number, as you will need it in many different contexts. You can find it on mitstudie.au.dk. When you click "Log in" in the upper-right corner, a window will open displaying your name, AUID, and student number.
  6. If you need a student ID card, it’s a good idea to order one before the start of your studies. Your student card also functions as an access card to buildings after regular opening hours.
  7. Check your access to the wireless network, Eduroam. Follow the instructions on the site.
  8. Check your schedule to see when your classes are scheduled. You can find your schedule on mitstudie.au.dk and on the study portal (under the "Teaching" menu).
  9. Be aware of the requirements for your computer when taking digital exams.
  10. Ensure you can copy/print.
  11. Register as a user at AU Library.
  12. Download the "Find AU" app, which will help you navigate the campus.

If you are already a student at Aarhus University
You will continue with the same student number and AU email.

IT-support

On this page, you can learn about AU's IT systems and IT support.

Below, we introduce the most important IT systems you may need as a student in Continuing Education.

AU mail

All students at Aarhus University have an AU email address, studentnumber@post.au.dk. The email address will be used when the University contacts you electronically, which might happen in connection with exam registration, cancelled classes, invitations to relevant events, information about exam deadlines etc.

You read your emails by logging on via https://post.au.dk. You can also log on via mit.au.dk (Self-service)

Your username is your student number, and your password is the same as the one you use for mitstudie.au.dk.

Brightspace – AU’s learning platform

Brightspace is AU’s shared learning platform. Brightspace will be where you access your courses, communicate with teachers and fellow students and find material and other relevant course-related information.

Please be aware that you are responsible for staying informed about your courses. You can stay informed via email notifications, the Brightspace Pulse App or by checking Brightspace on a regular basis.
