Chemistry Project and Student Seminar

Chemistry Project Module

A student may complete a maximum of 20 ECTS of project work in the Master’s programme, including study abroad, and a maximum of 15 ECTS of project work if a student colloquium (5 ECTS) is also completed.

As a general rule, a Chemical Project (5, 10, 15, or 20 ECTS) must be carried out within one semester, but a 15 or 20 ECTS project may also be spread over two semesters.
In this case, it must be specified in the study contract that the 20 ECTS project is placed in the semester in which the examination takes place. This means that 20 ECTS of other courses must be listed in the first semester, and a total of 40 ECTS (20 ECTS project and 20 ECTS courses) in the following semester. Enrollment in the 20 ECTS project must take place in the semester in which the project is submitted and examined.

There are no requirements regarding the number of pages for the project. This is agreed upon with the supervisor.

The project must be submitted via WISEflow

Finding a supervisor

You are responsible for finding a supervisor yourself and making an agreement with them regarding the project. It does not have to be the same supervisor as for your bachelor's project or thesis.

If you need inspiration, you can take a look here:

Registration

You must sign up for the Chemistry Project via mitstudie.au.dk like your regular courses within the registration deadlines. If your project spans 2 semesters, you must sign up for the semester in which you are finishing your project.

Regarding 5 and 10 ECTS projects:

If it is your first project you must choose "Chemistry Project A" (without an oral exam). If it is your second project you must choose "Chemistry Project B" (with an oral exam).

Chemistry Project 15 and 20 ECTS are always with an oral exam.
