New at Aarhus University?

On this page, we have gathered useful information for you if you are new to Aarhus University

Courses, books, timetable and examination schedule

The academic year is divided into two semesters, which means that there are two periods of teaching and two periods of exams per year.

Courses and books

You find the current selection of courses - including information about content, form, and teacher - in the Course catalouge. Here, you also find information about the materials for the individual courses. You can buy your relevant materials at Stakbogladen.

Under 'Teaching' > 'Academic calendar and timetable' in this study portal's menu, you find the teaching and exam calendar, with dates for the entire year.

Your personal timetable

Find your personal timetable at mitstudie.au.dk. Your timetable will give you an overview of all your courses for the following semester and where your classes are located.

Please note, that your timetable is only available if your course programme is in order before arrival.

Examination schedule

You find your relevant exam schedule when it's relevant under 'Examination' > 'Examination schedule'.
When you register for a course, you will automatically be registered for the ordinary exam. If you need a second or third examination attempt, you need to register for the exam yourself.

Check your AU-email!

It's very important that you often check your AU-email (studentnumber@post.au.dk).

All written information between AU and your must take place to/from your AU-email.
