Examinations
End of semester examinations take place in January and in May/June. In August there is an opportunity to resit examinations failed during the current year.
Students must attain a pass grade for each separate course or combined course.
Examinations can take any of the following forms:
All forms of examination other than #6 and #7 require the approval of an external examiner and are graded on a scale of 13. Examination forms #6 and #7 are assessed with a "Pass" or "Fail".
Unless otherwise stated, examination aids such as textbooks, notes, tables, dictionaries, and pocket calculators are allowed.
Permission for extended examination time for written examinations can be granted to students with special difficulties, e.g., language problems or dyslexia, provided that an application in writing is sent to the Board of Studies at least four weeks before the start of examinations.
