It is the aim of the course to treat aspects of the history of chemistry within the period 17001940 taking into account both chemistry's internal, theoretical and conceptual development as well as the social and institutional dimensions of the discipline.

Evaluation:
To pass requires active participation or passing an exam. It is possible to obtain further credits by writing an essay.
