Aim

To impart to students a basic knowledge on the connection between structure and function of tissues and on basic physiological processes in animals and plants.

Contents

The course gives an introduction to fundamental physiological processes in humans and plants. The structure of the tissues and the physiological processes taking place in the human digestion, blood circulation, respiration, immune system, hormone regulation, reproduction and nerve system are explained. Also basic physiological processes in plants are included.

Type of evaluation and aids

1½ hour multiple choice test without aids, evaluated on basis of the 13 points grading system with internal examiner.
