Traffic Models
Contents Traffic models comprise a large complex of models that are used to analyse traffic generation, traffic flows, choice of transport mode and choice of routes in spatial systems. The models are frequently used in practical planning, but they have also been the subject of much theoretical interest. In the seminar we examine the main types of models from a theoretical as well as an applied point of view. In the so-called sequential traffic model emphasis is placed on each of the sub-models for trip generation, trip distribution, modal split and network assignment. Direct demand models (simultaneous models) and discrete choice models are also examined.

Evaluation Based on active participation and presentation of reports.
It is possible to write a bachelor project report in connection with the seminar.
