A student club or society is a place where you can gather with your fellow students about something that makes your studies or study time more meaningful.
Your student club or society does not have to be aimed at a specific study or faculty, but can be for everyone at the university.
In Denmark, there are no legal requirements for clubs or societies. However, there are some basic requirements that the club or society must meet in order to be legally recognized as an association. You can read more about them via the link below.
At Arts, we would like to make it as easy as possible for you to form a club or society. Therefore, we have very few requirements for the voluntary student clubs or societies. When you request that your club or society be registered in the app, you declare that your club or society meets the following requirements:
- The club or society is a student social voluntary club or society founded by students at Arts
- The club's or society's members are students at Arts/AU
- The purpose of the club or society is to create activities for Arts/AU students
Arts supports the student clubs or societies, which, however, do not act on behalf of Arts.
We reserve the right to reject clubs or societies if we judge that they do not meet the requirements.
Clubs or societies that are part of a trade union, a nationwide organization, etc., are not approved as a student club or society at Arts.
You can read more about establishing a club or society on our student club and society page. This is also where you will find information about borrowing premises, applying for grants, AU's e-learning course for clubs or societies and much more.
