The work to install a new alarm system in buildings 1461–67 has now been completed, and the system has been approved.
As a student, you can therefore once again use the buildings as usual – for both academic and social purposes.

A review of the teaching room capacities showed that renewed approvals from the fire authorities was required on floors 3, 4, 5, and 6 in buildings 1461–67. These new approvals entailed the installation of an alarm system on the affected floors.
To ensure that teaching and study activities was able to continue during the interim period, Arts received a temporary approval, which involved the establishment of a fire watch. This temporary approval was valid until 21 May 2026.
The buildings are generally safe and well-equipped in terms of fire safety, with features such as emergency exit signage and rescue openings.
April 9: Kick-off meeting with the contractor, fire safety consultant, FEAS, and AU.
April 14: Installation of the alarm system begins (there may be occasional minor noise disturbances).
April–May: Inspection and documentation of the alarm system.
21 May: Final approval from the Municipality for commissioning the alarm system.
